Santa Rosa Rookery
A funny thing happened on the way to visit a rookery near Point Reyes National Seashore (a rookery is group of trees where herons and egrets nest in large numbers for protection of their young); it had moved to the other side of the inlet! But a lady from the local Audubon society informed us there was one in the middle of a street in Santa Rosa. Seeing and photographing one has been on my bucket list for some time - and usually only accessed by boat! (The rental car was a lot less expensive)
